American fitness influencer and content creator Ashton Hall has described Nigeria as his favourite stop during his six-country tour of Africa. He made the remark during a live interview on his Kick account after completing the trip.
Hall said Lagos reminded him of “an African version of Miami” because of its vibrant lifestyle, culture and energy. He also praised the country’s food and hospitality.
His African tour took him through South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana and finally Nigeria. According to Hall, Lagos stood out above every other destination he visited.
“Lagos, Nigeria feels like an African version of Miami. Their culture, food, I like all of them. Africa is fire,” he said during the livestream.
Although he expressed admiration for Nigeria, Hall said he has no plans to relocate permanently. He noted that he would gladly return for future visits.
During the tour, Hall shared videos of local food, tourist attractions and cultural experiences. His Lagos content attracted the highest engagement from fans across social media.
His arrival in Lagos generated excitement, with fans, celebrities and digital creators welcoming him. One of the biggest highlights was his meeting with Nigerian music executive Don Jazzy.
The collaboration between Hall, Don Jazzy and several Nigerian content creators produced millions of views on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, further boosting his popularity across Africa.
Hall rose to global fame through his fitness and motivational videos featuring workout routines, luxury lifestyles and inspirational messages. In recent years, he has expanded into travel content, with his African tour becoming one of his biggest projects.
