Metikon Engineering Limited has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Odyssey Energy Solutions, Inc., the company’s CEO, Itoro Etetim Okon, has announced.
The partnership comes on the heels of Odyssey’s recent $74 million financing, a significant milestone for a company focused on building infrastructure and financial ecosystems for distributed renewable energy.
According to Okon, the collaboration goes beyond a simple partnership. It is aimed at positioning Nigerian engineering and project delivery capabilities to play a meaningful role in the broader energy transition.
“We are bringing together local execution and global development capabilities to pursue new opportunities in Nigeria’s commercial and industrial solar market,” the CEO stated.
Metikon said the energy transition is accelerating and that the company intends to be part of building it through practical project delivery and local expertise.
The MoU is expected to open doors for joint initiatives in the commercial and industrial solar sector, combining Odyssey’s global development capacity with Metikon’s on-ground engineering strengths in Nigeria.
