The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced that the printing portal for the JAMB 2026 UTME Original Result Slip has not yet been activated for candidates. The disclosure was made public on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, via a statement issued by JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin.
The examination body has strongly urged all candidates who participated in the recent computer-based test to remain patient while the board coordinates outstanding administrative and backend adjustments. The delay has sparked anxiety among several aspirants who require physical copies of their scores for upcoming post-UTME screening preparations and institutional changes.
According to the board, the current hold on the printing of official result slips is a procedural necessity tied directly to the structural design of the examination.
JAMB emphasized that the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination is fundamentally a competitive ranking exercise. The final JAMB 2026 UTME Original Result Slip displays a candidate’s performance relative to the entire national statistical pool. Therefore, all candidate variants must be finalized before accurate parameters can be generated on the slips.
The board just recently concluded the administration of foreign UTME sessions for candidates participating across international centers.
Preparations are currently underway to conduct a special mop-up examination for candidates who missed the main test window due to verified technical issues or disruptions outside of their control.
“The printing of the 2026 UTME Original Result Slip has not yet been activated,” Benjamin stated. “Candidates are kindly urged to be patient as the Board has just concluded the foreign examinations and is also preparing to conduct the mop-up examination for candidates who were unable to sit for the main examination through no fault of theirs.”
The board has reassured the public that the activation of the e-Facility printing link will occur shortly after the mop-up metrics are integrated into the central database. Candidates will be explicitly notified through official channels once printing is authorized.
In the interim, candidates are reminded that checking scores remains restricted to the official SMS path (sending RESULT to 55019 or 66019 from the registered SIM). JAMB has strongly cautioned stakeholders against patronizing third-party cyber cafés or individuals claiming they can bypass the portal or manipulate scores, as tampering with official records remains a serious criminal offense.
