The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed its nomination fees at ₦6 million for State House of Assembly aspirants and ₦10 million for House of Representatives aspirants ahead of its August 22, 2026, primary elections.
The party announced the fees in its timetable and schedule of activities signed by its National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, and released on Wednesday.
The primaries will cover four restored State House of Assembly constituencies in Delta and Kogi states, as well as legislative bye-elections in Gombe, Bauchi, Delta and Kano.
The restored constituencies are Abraka, Isoko North II and Ughelli South II in Delta State, and Yagba West II in Kogi State.
The constituencies had remained without direct representation for years until court judgments led to their restoration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The APC’s timetable also covers the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency in Gombe, which became vacant following the death of lawmaker Tongo Yaya.
Other bye-election seats include Disina and Sakwa State Constituencies in Bauchi, Udu State Constituency in Delta and Dawakin Kudu State Constituency in Kano.
The party has set a tight schedule ahead of the primaries. Sale of nomination forms runs from August 18 to August 20, which is also the deadline for submitting completed forms and supporting documents.
Screening, publication of screening results and screening appeals will take place on August 21, one day before the primaries.
Any disputes arising from the exercise will be handled through election appeals scheduled for August 24.
For House of Assembly aspirants, the APC fixed the expression of interest fee at ₦1 million and the nomination fee at ₦5 million, bringing the total to ₦6 million.
House of Representatives aspirants will pay ₦1 million for expression of interest and ₦9 million for nomination, totalling ₦10 million.B
The party also approved concessions for female, youth and physically challenged aspirants.
According to the APC, these categories will pay the full expression of interest fee but only 50 per cent of the prescribed nomination fee.
The party directed all aspirants to make their payments in full through its designated bank account.
The upcoming primaries will determine the APC candidates for the restored constituencies and the legislative bye-elections across the five affected states
