Popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Samuel Perry, better known as Broda Shaggi, has broken his silence following a shooting incident that left him injured in Ogun State.
The skit maker was reportedly shot while filming around the Sango-Ota Bridge in March, after which he largely stayed away from the public.
In a message shared on his official WhatsApp channel, Broda Shaggi thanked his fans for their support and concern during his absence.
He said he was unable to reveal everything about what happened yet, but appreciated those who continued to check on him.
“To everyone who’s still here waiting, checking in, showing love, and holding me down even through the silence, thank you,” he said.
“I wish I could tell y’all everything right now but I can’t. Not yet.”
Following the incident, Broda Shaggi was reportedly taken to a medical facility in Alakuko, Lagos, before being transferred to a hospital in Ikeja for further treatment.
The actor has kept details of the incident private while focusing on his recovery.
He also assured his fans that he hopes to return to content creation soon.
“I’m hoping that day comes soon. And when it does, I promise I’m coming back better, stronger, and ready to make up for all this lost time,” he added.
Broda Shaggi expressed gratitude to his supporters for remaining patient and standing by him throughout his period away from the public.
