Popular Nigerian rapper Odumodublack has reacted furiously to the alleged rape of a 20-year-old woman by Delta content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, popularly known as “Odogwu of Asaba”, who was recently arrested by the police.
In a strongly worded statement on his official X account (formerly Twitter), Odumodublack expressed outrage over the case and declared:
“DEATH TO ALL SEXUAL ABUSERS.”
The rapper lamented the culture of silence surrounding sexual abuse, noting that many victims do not speak out because of the shame associated with it.
“The only reason that guy is being paraded like that is cause the girl is dead. There are so many other girls that cannot come out to tell their story of sexual abuse because of the shame that comes with it. This is the number one thing their abusers hold on to. That man should pay dearly,” he said.
Odumodublack further expressed surprise at seeing clips of the suspect begging while still looking composed, reiterating his strong stance against sexual predators.
