Liverpool have announced a new five-year partnership with Turkish Airlines, which will become the club’s main front-of-shirt sponsor from the 2027-28 season.
The deal will end Standard Chartered’s 17-year run as Liverpool’s principal shirt sponsor, although the financial institution will remain associated with the club as a global partner.
Turkish Airlines’ branding will feature on the shirts of Liverpool’s men’s and women’s teams, as well as the Academy, beginning in June 2027.
Liverpool have not disclosed the financial terms. However, media reports have valued the agreement at more than £300 million over five years, which would make it one of the Premier League’s biggest shirt sponsorship deals if confirmed.
Liverpool chief commercial officer Ben Latty described the agreement as an important moment for the club, highlighting the special significance of its iconic red shirt.
The partnership also carries a strong connection to Liverpool’s European history. The club famously won the 2005 Champions League final in Istanbul after recovering from a 3-0 deficit against AC Milan before triumphing on penalties.
Turkish Airlines already has a major presence in football. It is an official UEFA Champions League partner and sponsors the Turkish national team.
The new agreement will give the airline greater global exposure while providing Liverpool with another major commercial partnership.
Standard Chartered has sponsored the front of Liverpool’s shirt since 2010 and is expected to transition into its new global partnership role after the 2026-27 campaign.
The change marks a new commercial era for Liverpool, with Turkish Airlines set to take centre stage on the club’s famous red shirts from 2027.
