Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo has called on Nigerians to embrace locally manufactured products as a way to create more jobs and boost the economy.
Speaking at the Delta State Economic Summit, Governor Soludo emphasised the need for a conscious shift towards made-in-Nigeria goods.
“We cannot create the kind of jobs we want with all of us using foreign or imported goods. I look in this room, and I see suits from Europe, America, and China. If Nigerians wear only made-in-Nigeria, more jobs will be created,” he said.
The Governor’s remarks highlight the importance of patriotism and economic consciousness in addressing Nigeria’s unemployment challenges.
Soludo has been a strong advocate for local production and consumption, consistently promoting policies that support indigenous businesses and entrepreneurs in Anambra State.
His comments come at a time when the Federal Government is also pushing for increased patronage of locally made products as part of efforts to diversify the economy and reduce dependence on imports.
