Businessman Anthony Adeniyi Adeosun, husband of former Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun, has died at the age of 62.
The Adeosun family announced that he passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Lagos State.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by Rev. C. A. Adeosun on behalf of the family.
The statement described the late Adeosun as a respected businessman, devoted Christian and family man whose life positively impacted many people.
“It is with profound sorrow, yet in total submission to the will of Almighty God, that the Adeosun family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father and brother, Mr. Anthony Adeniyi (Niyi) Adeosun,” the statement said.
The family said he lived a life marked by integrity, hard work, generosity and unwavering faith, adding that he remained committed to God, his family and the community throughout his lifetime.
They said they were drawing strength from God during the period of mourning and prayed for comfort as they grieve their loss.
The family added that details of his funeral and Christian burial would be announced later.
Anthony Adeosun is survived by his wife, Kemi, his children and his siblings, including Kuramo Capital founder, Adewale Adeosun.
The family also thanked friends, associates and well-wishers for their prayers, condolences and support, praying for the peaceful repose of his soul
