Premier League clubs have wrapped up several high-profile transfer deals as they strengthen their squads ahead of the 2026/27 season, with all 20 teams making key additions and departures.
Arsenal completed the signing of Greek winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge after his impressive campaign in Belgium. The Gunners also made Piero Hincapie’s move permanent, signed goalkeeper Illan Meslier on a free transfer, and allowed Jakob Kiwior to join Porto permanently. Leandro Trossard also departed for Besiktas.
Chelsea made headlines by signing Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa in a British-record deal under new manager Xabi Alonso. The Blues also brought in Geovany Quenda, Marco Palestra and Emmanuel Emegha, while Nicolas Jackson returned from his loan spell at Bayern Munich. Marc Cucurella joined Real Madrid, Alejandro Garnacho moved to Aston Villa on loan, and Andrey Santos completed a transfer to Manchester United.
Aston Villa strengthened their midfield with Garnacho, Johan Manzambi, Joao Gomes and Modou Keba Cissa. The club, however, lost Youri Tielemans to Manchester United and Lewis Dobbin to Southampton, while Amadou Onana suffered a long-term injury.
Manchester United signed Tielemans and Andrey Santos to bolster their midfield following Casemiro’s exit. Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia also left after their contracts expired, while Rasmus Hojlund completed a permanent move to Napoli.
Manchester City began life under new manager Enzo Maresca following Pep Guardiola’s departure. City signed Elliot Anderson and Jeremy Monga, while Bernardo Silva, John Stones, Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake all left the club.
Liverpool ushered in a new era under Andoni Iraola by signing Spain international Victor Munoz as Mohamed Salah’s replacement. The Reds also recruited defender Jeremy Jacquet, while Ibrahima Konate joined Real Madrid and Andy Robertson moved to Tottenham.
Tottenham were among the busiest clubs, signing Robertson, Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, Marcos Senesi, Jan Paul van Hecke and goalkeeper Martin Dubravka. Newcastle responded by recruiting Aladji Bamba, Bazoumana Toure, Ewen Jaouen and Sean Steur after Anthony Gordon’s move to Barcelona.
Elsewhere, Brighton signed Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna and Luka Vuskovic, while veteran midfielder James Milner announced his retirement. Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, Crystal Palace, Everton, Nottingham Forest and Sunderland also completed notable signings as clubs finalized preparations for the new Premier League season.
