Nigerian singer Runtown (Douglas Jack Agu) has come out strongly against a Federal High Court ruling in Abuja that ordered him to pay ₦319 million in damages and outstanding recoupment to his former label, Eric Many Limited.
In a fiery response shared on social media, the “Mad Over You” crooner dismissed the judgment and made his position crystal clear.
“Back outside! So not going to let any agenda run… Mr Dilly, every year you try to deceive people with fake court orders… You think after 9 years, I’ll give you passwords and access to my catalogue?? lol nice try… Keep trying!” Runtown wrote.
The “Mad Over You” hitmaker further accused the label’s management of pushing falsehoods and vowed not to surrender control of his music catalogue.

The court ruling, delivered by Justice O.A. Musa, stated that Runtown’s 2016 recording agreement with Eric Many had not been lawfully terminated. The court awarded ₦53 million in costs and damages, plus ₦266.7 million in outstanding recoupment.
The long-running dispute between Runtown and Eric Many (led by Okwudili “Dilly” Umenyiora) dates back to 2016, with the label accusing the singer of breaching the contract by handling independent bookings and attempting to trademark his stage names without consent.
